Primary Wiring of the Coil
Last month I talked about the wiring of the primary circuit of the coil as Henry designed it and why you could not wire an accessory to go off with the ignition switch. I also talked about how to rewire your Mod-el ?A? so you could control an accessory such as a CB Radio or electric fuel pump so it would go off when the ignition is turned off. Several people asked if I would give them a drawing so they could understand it better, so this month I am going to provide 3 drawings. The first is the way Henry designed it with a stock 6 volt system + ground. The second is the way I would rewire to turn off an accessory when the ignition is off on a stock 6 volt system + Ground. The third is the way a 12 volt ground system should be wired to turn off accessories with the ignition switch.
